We’ve had TONS of delicious peaches this year.  Some from Brigham and some from Mike’s parents backyard – both kinds were AMAZING!!  I’ve made yummy cobbler and chopped lots for my cereal.  The last few days however, the peaches were starting to get old and I couldn’t keep up.  So I gave my cute Grandma a call and asked for her delicious freezer jam recipe.   I made my very first batch of peach jam on Friday and it was a blast!  It took me forever but it will be so tasty!  Last night during Priesthood session, I brought up the ingredients to Park City and made another batch with my mother in law.  It was so fun!!  I’m excited to eat homemade jam for the rest of the year!  YUM!

Mary Poppins

Last weekend, my parents took us to see Mary Poppins at the Capital Theater in Salt Lake City.  It was SO fun!!  My brother had come to town for a long weekend so he was able to go too.  We went to dinner at Brick Oven Pizza in Layton, then headed to the show.  It was a little different than I was expecting but it was really fun!  Apparently the musical follows more of the book than the Disney movie.  The music was great and the set was incredible!  It was so fun to be with my parents, my sister, niece, and brother.  We also ran into my cousin Courtney who was here from out of town and it was so fun to chat with her for a few minutes.  After the show, we waited outside for awhile and the cast members starting coming out.  We saw the main girl, ‘Jane’, and we stopped her for a quick picture.  My niece Ashley was just in amazement!  She felt so special to meet her.  All in all, it was a great night!  Thanks mom and dad!

Good run David!

Last week, the Jasper’s witnessed history… my father in law ran and completed his first marathon!!  It was the ‘Top of Utah’ race located in the beautiful Logan, Ut.  Mike and I decided to stop along the route and cheer him on.  We saw lots of runners and had a really great time!  David got pretty worn out towards the end due to an existing knee injury.  But he finished and we were all so proud!

Enjoying the time

Cheering team

The cheering team consisted of Mike, Jennifer, Grandma Jasper, Grandma and Grandpa Bischoff, two of Mike’s uncles and aunts, and 3 cousins.  The weather was perfect and it was so fun to get together.  The afternoon finished off with a yummy lunch at Grandma Jasper’s.  The Jasper family sure knows how to party!

Peaches… Love

Last Saturday (sept. 10th), I went up to Brigham City for Peach Days!  Mike was away at a fun chamber choir retreat so he wasn’t able to make it.  The parade was a total blast and  I had a super great time with all of my extended family that got together.  Peach Days is one of my favorite things during the year and this year was no exception.  I do wish my mom and dad could have been there but they will be for sure next year.  Jami, Ashley, Alacia, and I walked around the fun booths and did a little shopping.  So Fun!

After we had lunch, I met up with Mike and we traveled to Logan to celebrate his sister’s birthday.  We ate an early dinner together and went on a tour of her new apartment at USU.  It was great to be with them too!  Before we returned South, we stopped by his Grandma’s house and she so lovingly gave us a lawn mower and weed eater… for Free!!  We have been so blessed with such given family members!

All in all, we had a great weekend.  It was packed with lots of laughs, yummy food, and good memories.  I sure do love being with our family!

Adventurous Weekend…

We sure had a fun/romantic/crazy busy weekend!  To start it all off… trying to unpack as many boxes as possible before we left for Lava Hot Springs.  We went up there to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary.  I’ve never been there (at least that I can remember) and Mike went once in High School.  It was SO fun and so relaxing.  We stayed in a beautiful B & B just outside of Lava.  We stayed in the ‘Phantom’s Lair’ and had a great time together.  The next morning we went to the hot springs.  They aren’t joking when they say the water temp is between 102-112 degrees… it was stifling!!  It really was fun to spend 2 days together to relax after a week full of boxing all of our belongings and cleaning the house and apartment.

After Lava, we headed up to Idaho Falls to have a birthday party for my cute niece Katelyn and to be there for baby Andie’s blessing on Sunday.  We sure had a fun time being with my family.  We talked for hours… went to a movie… and ate lots of yummy food!  The best part…. putting more plans together for our family vacation to Walt Disney World!!  More info on that later 🙂

We finished the weekend off by buying our first dining room table!!  All of our furniture has been great… lots of borrowed items… some from KSL classifieds… we truly have been blessed in the furniture department.  However, my one request was to have a brand new table, that has only been ours!!  My amazing husband agreed to it and after a few weeks of window shopping… talking….and saving money, we found OUR table!  It is gorgeous!  Mike started putting it together last night and I’m SO EXCITED!!  I truly have the best husband in the world!

2 Years…

Wow… where has all the time gone?  Two years ago today I married the man of my dreams.  We have had a wonderful 2 years together so far and we’re so excited to continue our life adventure together.  Mike is my very best friend and he always makes me so happy.  My favorite times have been just hanging out together acting totally goofy and making each other laugh so hard our bellies hurt.  He is so loving, caring, and would do anything in the world for me.  I’m so lucky and blessed to have him as my husband.  Thanks for being such an amazing example to me and for loving me the way you do.  I love you.

New Family Member…

After months of searching…. thoughts…. prayers…. We bought a HOUSE!!  We signed it just tonight and we couldn’t be any happier!  It’s located in a fun, friendly Riverdale neighborhood.  It has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 1 office, large family room and formal living room, cozy kitchen, huge garage, and an awesome yard.  It has all new paint, carpet, and areas of hard wood floors.  The basement and backyard aren’t finished yet which will be some fun, hard work a few years down the road.  We are just so happy and feel so blessed to be in this fun, new stage of life.  If any of you would like to drop on over for a fun tour, please do!  We’d love it!
